About Us

The Southern Ontario Heritage Livestock Club is a diverse group of individuals, which was formed by members of the disbanded Niagara Chapter of Rare Breeds Canada. The commonality of group members is an interest in maintaining and promoting the use of heritage livestock breeds. We are interested in conserving heritage and endangered breeds of horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, turkey, duck, geese and chicken and any other species that may be (or once was) significant to agriculture in our province and country. We meet from 8 to 10 times a year at Rittenhouse hall in the  OMAFRA building at the old Vineland research station,  located just north of the QEW. off of Niagara Regional Road 24 (Victoria Avenue).  Meetings usually start at 2000 hrs.  Guests are always welcome

Next meeting will be 01 May, 2013.
